Silent Sheffield aims to change the world with ruthless creativity.
But we need your help...

Silent Sheffield is a pilot project which brings creative people together to help local charities and give silent minorities a voice. If the pilot is successful we will roll it out nationally (Silent Cities) across the UK (Silent Leeds, Silent Hackney...).

I am just in the process of incorporating as a social enterprise (get in touch if you're interested in becoming a trustee) and developing a pilot beta website. We will then be on the hunt for volunteers and funding to make the pilot work.

Silent Sheffield will:

build an online community of creative volunteers - from budding film makers to musicians and graphic designers
post assignments and live briefs to help creative people take action locally on silent issues
promote and develop silent talent
be a creative broker for local charities, sourcing and managing creative volunteers on their behalf
use technology to bring together and address all silent issues celebrate our city’s silent heroes
help businesses with CSR
promote Sheffield’s glorious heritage of creativity and silent talent
provide silent apprenticeships in creative media to isolated individuals and the long term unemployed.

Enterprise

Silent Sheffield will:

sell on/licence content created by the community to national charities
provide creative services to charities and social enterprises including:

little films for big people (promotional videos)
cost-effective websites
vision and values workshops
social media training
branding and marketing materials

offer a volunteer brokering service to charities for a small fee
