Silent Sheffield aims to change the world with ruthless creativity.
But we need your help...

If you're a talented, creative type - a photographer, musician, writer, film maker, designer or artist - we want you to make a noise about the silent issues our cities face, from homelessness and sex working, to mental health, the old and the young.

We're currently on the hunt for funding, partners and volunteers – both to fund the development of a bespoke website and to get involved in the project.

Silent Sheffield will:

provide assignments and creative briefs to help people take action on silent issues
expose facts and debate silent issues from a local perspective, in all their glorious messiness
match talent with charities
celebrate our city’s silent heroes
help businesses with CSR
promote Sheffield’s glorious heritage of creativity and silent talent
provide silent apprenticeships to minority groups and the long term unemployed.

Enterprise

Silent Sheffield will:

take the best content and sell it to those who can afford it
offer online profiles to promote charities and social enterprises
sell 'online benches' - multimedia tributes to remember a silent minority or hero
help businesses with corporate social responsibility, from team days to PR
offer professional, creative services to charities and social enterprises from brand consultancy and social media training to web development and 'disposable' promo videos, at heavily discounted prices.

Get involved with the pilot campaign

In the meantime, to show you what we’re on about and how it’ll work, we’re starting a pilot campaign – ‘growin' old disgracefully’ – and a pilot site to house this content. It means you can get involved early to help us shape the real thing.
